Speak to Me/Breathe...

Listening in my head - Fat Old Sun by Pink Floyd.

Always with the Floyd, Erick! Always!

Forget all it. I dont care if anyone reads my blog or not. I need to vent.

Man, Dark Side of the Moon (DSOTM) is pretty much the greatest album ever made. I really have yet to encounter something like it (besides more floyd) I mean look, or should I say listen, to it.

I should say, something can be beautiful, artistic and a commercial success. Heck, this baby has been constantly on the charts for pretty much as long as it's been out. When it came out in 1973 it was sooo far ahead of it's time.

There are parts of this album where I'm just outstanded. From the begining:
1. Speak to me
A Slow steady heartbeat. The sound rises and rises, sounds accumulate each bit a small tase of what is to come, it rises and rises and...
2. Breathe
Fantastic song. Excellent. The sliding guitar sound seems to tap some brain frequency where it just sounds so good.
3. On the Run
Amazing, amazing song. Just get a good pair of headphones, close your eyes and try not to get goosebumps.
4. Time
Killer song. Fantastic guitar solos. Uplifting choir vocals and a beautifull reprise of Breathe.
5. The Great Gig in the Sky
When I head first this song it almost got me to tears. Not kidding!
6. Money
Similar to Time. Different but just as good.

I'm getting tired of typing so let me just say the rest of the album is genius, genius, genius. There's no way I can write about how good it is just see for yourself!
